An ocean reserve the size of France!
A new study reveals that more than half the world's ocean is now being industrially fished! The ocean horror stories just keep coming, but dramatic action can still save our seas!

That's exactly what Brazil's Environment Minister is proposing -- an inspiring, massive ocean reserve the size of France off a pristine Brazilian coast. And this is what his staff is saying: “We need Avaaz to win this!”

Locals, key politicians, even fishermen support the proposal -- but mining and other interests in Brazil, backed by other cabinet ministers, are threatening to strike it down.

President Temer will decide in days between his ministers and insiders say we could tip the balance -- with his international reputation suffering, we can show him the world wants this reserve.
