Dear Prime Minister,

As British citizens we are horrified by your plans to waste £120 million of public money on a ‘festival of Brexit Britain’.

As you read this, 30% of Britain’s children are living in poverty. The number of rough sleepers in England is at a record high. And Brexit will make this even worse, threatening jobs, the economy and the NHS.

The promises of prosperity made by the Brexiteers have evaporated. There are no good Brexit options left. We call on you to abandon plans for the Brexit festival, and instead give the British public a democratic final say on Brexit, with an option to stay a member of the EU.

We thought we’d seen it all from this government on Brexit -- but Theresa May’s plan to spend £120 million pounds (!) of public money on a ‘festival of Brexit’ really takes the biscuit!

I mean, seriously?! Our country is staring down the barrel of a catastrophic no-deal Brexit that threatens jobs and the NHS, and the Prime Minister is busy planning a party to celebrate it?

It’s her maddest idea yet -- and we don’t have to accept it.
