Serhii and his twin brother Oleksandr both worked at Ukraine’s largest nuclear plant. When Russia invaded, its soldiers occupied the plant and went after the workers. The twins were abducted.

So were many other workers.

Oleksandr was eventually freed, but Serhii was sentenced to thirteen years in prison on a made-up charge of “espionage.”

Oleksandr is refusing to give up. He’s calling on the world nuclear power authority’s Director General, Rafael Grossi, to help free his brother and all other abducted Ukrainian workers.

Grossi is running for the UN’s top job this year, so he'll be especially moved by the chance to build his reputation as a negotiator and peacemaker. Soon, Oleksandr will travel to meet Grossi, together with the families of other detained workers – let’s back them up with a massive global outcry!
