Urgent --right now, the New York City Police are using batons and pepper spray to forcibly evict the peaceful Occupy Wall St protesters from Liberty Plaza.

It’s outrageous! New York’s billionaire mayor, Mike Bloomberg, waited for the cover of night to launch this shady operation, and is counting on the world to sleep through it. But, we can show him that he is wrong -- and stop the eviction. Last time he tried this thousands of us called his office and shamed him to pull back the police. Let's do it again!

There’s no time to lose -- in just an hour police could have they dragged everyone away. Let's flood the Mayor's and NYPD's offices with phone calls now! Avaaz will amplify our voices by telling the media the numbers of emergency calls we make. We could turn the tide and stop the eviction -- but we all have to call right now!

Call the Mayor here:

+1-212-NEW-YORK (639-9675)

Call the NYPD here:

+1-646-610-5000

After calling, post a message about how the call went -- to help Avaaz count the number of calls made, and demonstrate the wave of worldwide support for the protesters.

Suggestions for your call:
  • Say that you have a message for NYC Mayor Bloomberg or the NYPD (depending on who you are calling)
  • Stop the eviction of Zuccotti Park
  • US citizens have a constitutional right to protest.
  • This is one of the biggest shows of public outrage in decades and these people represent hundreds of thousands across the world who stand with the protesters and the movement for real democracy.
Call now and help spread the word!
