End the dolphin grind

To Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands, Bárður á Steig Nielsen:

As citizens from around the world, we are deeply saddened by news of the recent dolphin 'Grind' in the Faroe Islands -- a feeling shared by almost half the Faroese people. While we respect cultural traditions, the world is changing, and all our cultures have to evolve. We call on you to make the only humane, responsible, and compassionate decision possible: End the annual grind.

End the dolphin grind
Locals call it the 'Grind' -- a cruel annual hunt where hundreds of dolphins are herded into a cove, and butchered.

But this time was different.

1,400 white-sided dolphins were driven onto the beach and slaughtered one by one. Terrified dolphins thrashed around as pregnant mothers and calves were killed, the sea turning blood red. Many suffocated on the shore as hunters struggled to kill them all. It was the largest massacre in the history of the Faroe islands.

Let it be the last.

Almost half the island's citizens are against the dolphin grind, and after huge public outrage, the Prime Minister will review the hunt's regulations. This is our chance. Let's send a deafening global call to end the dolphin grind. Add your voice to take a stand today!
