We stand in solidarity with Narges Mohammadi and the people of Iran. We call on you to publicly demand the immediate release of Iran’s courageous Nobel laureate and all political prisoners held by the Iranian regime; and to urgently deploy all available political, diplomatic, and technological tools to pressure Iranian authorities to finally stop their violent crackdown, restore all internet access, and make way for free, fair, democratic elections.

Narges Mohammadi’s skin is purple with bruises, her vision blurred from repeated blows to the head. Her life is reportedly at risk after years of imprisonment and abuse for her Nobel-Peace-Prize-winning fight to defend women’s rights and stop executions in Iran.

But we still have a chance to push for her freedom.

In six days, Iranian officials will face world leaders at a UN meeting in Geneva — and this time they’re vulnerable, reeling from crises at home and abroad and scrambling for leverage in nuclear talks with the US.

If we act now, governments can call for her release in the room with Iran – escalating international pressure and making it harder to ignore the thousands of others jailed in the regime’s bloody crackdown last month.
