As citizens from across the globe, we're deeply concerned with the plans to build a luxury resort on Assomption Island, putting at risk the Aldabra atoll and the world's biggest population of Giant Tortoises who live in it. We urgently call on you to safeguard this precious ecosystem and the Giant Tortoises, by canceling the resort.

In the heart of the Indian ocean lies a group of four coral islands, home to the largest population of Giant Tortoises on earth. 152,000 of them! And they live up to 150 years.

But this UNESCO-protected turtle paradise could soon be devastated by a massive luxury resort for the wealthy - full of high-end hotels, villas and private jets.
