Cheetahs on the brink
The cheetah population has crashed to its lowest numbers ever and now the fastest mammal on earth is racing to extinction. But there’s a plan to save them.

A new study reveals that there are only 7,100 cheetahs left in the wild and declining quickly. Most live in unprotected habitat. And because even a small cub can fetch $10,000 on the black market, they are all at risk.

Scientists are putting out an urgent call to get cheetahs classified as endangered. That would open the floodgates to powerful protections that could reverse the dangerous decline. Let’s launch a massive outcry to save this incredible animal, before it is too late.
