These arms didn't make it to Sudan's killing fields directly from the UK – they came through the United Arab Emirates (UAE), one of Britain's biggest arms customers, and a key backer of the fighters.

For years, experts sounded the alarm that weapons sold to the UAE could end up in Sudan. And now they have. Yet the Labour government continues to license military exports worth billions, despite the growing evidence that they're being used to arm death squads.
