President Obama’s new ‘Pollinators Health Task Force’ plan offers a chance to save bees from extinction. We call on you to cancel the sale of all deadly neonicotinoid pesticides, as the EU has already done. We call on you to show urgent leadership, to safeguard our food supply.

Obama's bid to save the bees
We need bees to pollinate our food, and now they need us. President Obama just set up a taskforce to save bees from being poisoned to death, and if we get behind him we can make sure the plan isn't gutted by chemical industry lobbyists.

Right now Environmental Protection Agency officials are writing the plan. Many great people work there, and they know that neonicotinoid pesticides suppress bees' navigation and immune systems. But too often the Agency gets bullied behind the scenes to soften its stance. Only by shining a massive spotlight on the Agency's head can we get them to recommend the full ban the bees need to survive!

When the European Union was debating a similar ban, over 2 million of us took a stand. And we won! The US plan's being written right now. Let's race to 2 million again, then deliver our message to EPA boss Gina McCarthy and to the White House, in front of the media. If the U.S. bans neonics, we can get lots of other governments around the world to follow suit.
