As citizens from around the world, we stand with the indigenous community of Pope Mountain and their nonviolent sit-in to defend their homes. We condemn the actions by the Israeli military to demolish homes and forcibly transfer indigenous communities off of their land in order to build illegal colonies. We call on you to hold Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli government accountable by opening a full investigation into these crimes, and making it clear that further demolitions will be met with international sanctions. This is the only path to save the prospects of peace, before it is too late.

An extreme law was just passed that makes it easier for settlers to take over Palestinian-owned land and demolish homes that have stood for generations. But one brave Bedouin community is fighting back -- preparing to nonviolently sit-in and protect their homes. And they are asking us to help raise a global alarm that will force media, the courts, and political leaders to take note.

Lawyers are already working to overturn the law, but the legal system moves much slower than bulldozers. Massive global condemnation is the only thing that can help this indigenous community right now to stop the settlers until the courts can block this.
