Whales: Massive Push to Stop the Hunt
In two weeks, the International Whaling Commission will hold its final vote in Morocco on a proposal to legalize commercial whale hunting for the first time in a generation.
More than 650,000 of us have signed the petition to protect the ban on such hunting -- but the vote could go either way.
Delegates need to know that the world wants them to vote NO on whale slaughter. If we can fund it, Avaaz will raise a giant billboard outside of Agadir airport, run a front-page newspaper advert and send free copies to delegates' hotels, line Moroccan walkways with street posters, and pass out hand-bills to delegates -- all with the striking image to the right.
