Build It Manager resigns, shop promise to compensate vendor

On Thursday, 4th March 2021 the Times of Eswatini published on their front page a story about a Build It Senior manager who allegedly kicked a bucket containing fresh fat cakes sold by 25-year old Miss M. The manager further verbally abused Miss M who is self employed and works as a street vendor, selling fat cakes and she was outside the shop selling her products, which she has been doing since December 2020. These are products that do not compete in anyway with what Build It is providing, and they are meant to help the employees when they go for their tea break or lunch. We therefore demand that Build It Matsapha issue a public apology, and further compensate the vendor in question. We are of the idea that the manager acted on behalf of Matsapha Build It, since he was the officer in charge when this unfortunate incident happened. We also demand that Build It pay a fine to the Vendors Association, that money will be used to support local street vendors. We call all Emaswati to support our petition.
