We at IFLAC, congratulate the UN for its excellent Draft Resolution declaring: “YEAR 2021 WITHOUT WAR.” We strongly support this Resolution; however, we suggest to add: without "TERROR”.
Since its creation in 2000, “IFLAC: The International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace,” has worked continuously at peace-making and at abolishing Terror all over the world. Despite our intensive peace-building and that of all the peace organizations around the world, what we see in the first 20 years of the twenty- first century, is not a more peaceful and safer world, but in addition to wars, the spreading of a lethal terrorism that endangers our lives and our freedom.
We therefore, strongly suggest to the UN that the Resolution should be titled:
WITHOUT WAR AND TERROR, as Terrorism is causing much destruction and loss of lives. This decision would be an innovative addition to the International Bill of Human Rights.
We suggest that the YEAR 2021 WITHOUT WAR AND TERROR, should not be celebrated during only one year, but it should be the Opening of a safe and peaceful new World Era beyond War and Terror, on our blue planet.
