Prime Minister Harper's new security bill dramatically expands our spy agency's powers, threatening our privacy rights and free speech -- but we can still urge our Senators to stop it.

Use the box on the right to send key Senate leaders a message calling on them to block the Big Brother bill.

Here are a few points to consider including in your message -- feel free to write your own (but please remember to be polite!):

• We urge you to listen to hundreds of thousands of Canadians, and to the advice of expert organizations like the Canadian Bar Association, and vote to stop this offensive legislation.
• Bill C-51 is deeply concerning. It lets our spy agencies get warrants in secret and allows them to violate the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
• The Globe and Mail says "Canadians should not be willing to accept such an obvious threat to their basic liberties." We agree, and urge you to bring the people’s voice into the Senate chamber and block this bad bill.
