Illegal sand mining is causing irreparable damage to the vulnerable estuarine and coastal ecosystems along the once pristine Wild Coast of South Africa, undermining long term economic benefits for impoverished local communities that depend on tourism for income.

South Africa is losing one of its most beautiful and untouched places!
