Ireland's Ministers for Foreign Affairs & Trade, and Agriculture & Defence
To put pressure on Israel from the Irish people, the Government must represent our interest in stopping the brutal persecution of the people of Gaza and settlement areas. To do this, trade embargoes must be implemented and boycotting of goods from Israel and illegally occupied settlements must be enforced.
Mr. Flanagan, as our newly appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, is the key contact to represent our voice against trade with Israel. Mr. Coveney must also support this embargo and halt both agricultural trade and military support of Israel's onslaught of Gaza and settlement areas.
While the Irish Government failed us by abstaining to vote for the UN resolution to investigate Israel's war crimes, it is now up to us to force the Government to take a stand and halt Ireland's trade relations with Israel. Only through the withdrawal of trade support can Ireland make a strong gesture to stop this genocide.
