What does this mean&quest Does this mean that only 18 years of age and above can attend. This must be a mistake&excl
Green zone should be accessible to everyone as it is the only civil space at the COP; All ages All access at All times . Last year the green zone at COP21 in Paris was open to all. Climate change is a people's problem. Restricting access to civil spaces at the COP prevents people from participating and having their voices heard.
We are students from around the world, who will be denied access to the Green Zone if they enact this age restriction. We are here ready to raise the voice of young people and make sure the agreements and movements started last year in Paris are put into action this year.
We are children, we are kids, we are people. We have the right to be included in climate action at these events at COP.
We really hope that this is a mistake…however at the moment we are worried that we will be denied access to the Green Zone. The COP this year and all those in the future MUST include ALL people.
This is time sensitive. Please sign if you believe in ALL AGES ALL ACCESS at ALL TIMES to the civil spaces at the COP.
