Gyms are cleared to reopen effective 5/13!

Since government containment effort for COVID-19 has shuttered non essential businesses roughly four weeks ago, we have learned about populations at risk and how to protect them. For those not at risk, we believe that fitness is vital to maintaining physical and mental health during this time of uncertainty. Small gyms and studios can adhere to CDC and federal guidelines put forth around 6 ft social distancing, 10 person capacity, cleaning and disinfection and should be allowed to resume operation under these terms. Sign this petition if you support the right for gyms to be reclassified as essential, or at least to be prioritized in the governments reopening plans. The CARES Act has largely failed to provide relief to small businesses and is currently out of funding as of 4/16/20. We are not asking for funding just an opportunity to get back to work. Gym staff, management and owners livelihoods are depending on it. Thank you for your support!
