Pressure Israel to release Palestinian prisoners who are vulnerable to COVID-19

We call on the UN and the European Parliament to pressure the Israeli authorities to release all Palestinian children, elders and women prisoners from its jails because they are most vulnerable to being infected by the Corona Virus COVID -19.
While the Israeli authorities have recently released all prisoners they previously held on criminal and drug-related offences as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Corona virus, the Palestinian prisoners of freedom and justice remain incarcerated. This puts them at a greater risk of contracting the virus given the conditions under which they are held and the highly contagious nature of this virus.
At the moment, there are nearly 5000 Palestinians detained by Israel, 43 are women, 180 are children and at least 700 are sick or are suffering from various health conditions.
