The US Dept of Justice, Civil Rights Division
For years, we have seen cop after cop be allowed to keep jobs, not have charges pressed against them, and/or not be convicted of their crimes, particularly those against the black men and women of the United States, and around the world. We, the people, are tired. We understand there's cops who do their jobs correctly, however- there are way too many who do not. There are way too many cops who have not had to pay for their crimes, and many families and victim's who have not seen justice. Today, we DEMAND that you, the US Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, open a NATIONWIDE investigation into every single police department in the United States. We want the "bad apples" to be removed from the force, and we want police reform. We have seen multiple videos- documented evidence- of the police using excessive force against peaceful protestors, and we don't trust them. Do your job, as you are here to serve US- WE THE PEOPLE. On the US Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division website, it states as follows: " The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, created in 1957 by the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1957, works to uphold the civil and constitutional rights of all Americans, particularly some of the most vulnerable members of our society. The Division enforces federal statutes prohibiting discrimination on the basis of color, race, sex, disability, religion, familial status, and national origin." We demand justice. We demand change. WE ARE THE PEOPLE.
