Because of the loss of the designated flood storage areas for flood control, specifically critical and vital flood storage for Steamboat Creek that protects areas of Hidden Valley, Rosewood Lakes, Herons Landing, South Meadows, Cyan, Double Diamond and portions of Damonte Ranch and because of the potential risk and justice inequality regarding the safety of our environment and the property in  our communities,   the undersigned are urging a DENIAL  of the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency’s Regional Plan Conformance Review - January 23, 2020 approval of the City of Reno Master Plan Amendment (CR-19-012) and the Project of Regional Significance (CR19-013) for the Daybreak project.   Additionally we do not believe that two main entrances of the Daybreak community at Rio Poco and South Meadows Parkway with a secondary impact to Mira Loma can support the significant increase in traffic and there are serious concerns that the up to 40,000  car trips per day generated by this project will be addressed along with school overcrowding, wildlife/horses issue and public safety.

We believe that this project is not in conformance with The Regional Plans existing policies and urge a DENIAL.
