I am writing from jail, where I’ve spent the last 30 months, accused of a kidnapping that never happened. Like so many political prisoners in this country, I’m behind bars for fighting for peace and justice. This is the real kidnapping -- and I need your help.

Like many parts of Guerrero and México, my town of Olinalá has been plagued by widespread, unpunished violence for years. Thugs and hitmen walk through the streets armed, raping girls and boys in primary schools, impregnating girls, kidnapping indiscriminately, and extorting hardworking families -- and the government doesn't lift a finger to stop them.

Now, the State Attorney General has the chance to drop the false charges against me -- sign now and call on them to respect my human rights to due process and a fair hearing. Together we can demand that justice be served.
