A Croatian radical group 'U ime obitelji' ('In the Name of Family'), funded by an unknown political entity, has been the front of a hate campaign against the LGBT community, recently resulting in the parliament approving a popular referendum set to happen on December 1st, which will ask the Croatian citizens to approve a Ban on Marriage Equality. They have collected the 750,000 required signatures through harassment and religious judgement widespread in Croatian cities, churches, schools and communities.

Let's show this behavior is not welcome in the modern EU society!
Act now, sign with us and send a message to the Croatian government; protect its LGBT citizens of the pointless pain brought to them; do not let this campaign grow more powerful and deny the changes to the Constitution!

'U ime obitelji' strives to add a chapter to the Constitution of Croatia, stating only a man and a woman can form a marital union. Same sex couples already legally can't marry in Croatia, making this change just an attempt of double protecting their opinion!

Croatia officially joined the European Union on July 1, and its LGBT rights record came under close scrutiny in the lead-up. It was required to adopt a law banning discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation as a condition of EU membership, which sparked resistance and formation of 'U ime obitelji'.
