All university students in Germany and German education officials.: Sign to cut the relations with the German University

All university students in Germany and German education officials.
Save the students of the "German University in Cairo (GUC)". The so called "German University" is sending its students to jail in Egypt!
The German university in Cairo, which is considered one of the top private universities in Egypt, is sending Alaa, Hazem, and Karim to court. The corrupted administration of the GUC is trying to humiliate and force the students to stop demanding their legal demands.
"Three GUC students, Alaa Al-Attar, Hazem Abd El-Khalek, and Karim Naguib, spent the night jailed over investigation proceedings; an investigation into their actions during the protests over the death of GUC student Yara Tarek, who was killed in the campus parking lot largely due to the administration's negligence and failure to provide basic safety measures.
It's important to note that the GUC administration had 'promised' that all demands would be met and no student shall be harmed, if the sit-in was broken up. These 'promises' were made in the presence of a representative from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and, more importantly, various parents who unfortunately got involved.
Since then, the exams of 40 students were outright canceled; 11 students have been prosecuted, and 3 of them just spent their 1st night of 4 nights in jail yesterday (24th of May), which will be renewed for the duration of the investigation.
The GUC administration is now 'promising' to stop prosecuting the students if they put forward formal apologies for what they did, which was protesting the negligence of this very same administration that led to the death of Yara Tarek. These ‘apologies’ are expected to be used as evidence against the students during the prosecution as the current case lacks any evidence at all. This lack of evidence is for the simple fact that the students involved did not do anything illegal."
By signing this petition we aim to support our colleagues, by asking the German universities and official institutions in Germany to cut their relations with the German University in Cairo, for the shameful acts against its students. What the GUC administration is doing under the name of the German education system, is shameful to all of the academic scene around the world.
Here is the list of universities and institutions dealing with GUC:
- University of Ulm.
- University of Stuttgart.
- University of Tübingen.
- The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany).
- Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg.
- German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD).
- Goethe-Institut.
By signing this petition you will be rising our voice to contact the list of institutions above and demand the pressure against the corrupted administration of the German University in Cairo.
