As a Sikh I find the conditions in which my Guru is being kept in at the British Museum deplorable and inexcusable . I understand that this Ancient Handwritten Saroop (volume) has been left open on display without covering or regular attendence by a granthi or sikh for the past 150 years . I understand that also the saroop has been dissected into smaller sections just like an ordinary book for storage/research purposes &dashthis is sacrilegious. Given the fact that this is one of only 20 sikh Saroops dating from the 17th century its imperative that this saroop is rebuilt and returned to the sikhs of Britain to ensure full respect, regalia is installed and daily care is taken of their precious history.
