Eric Garcetti (Mayor, City of LA) and Paul Krekorian (Councilman, Dist. 2)

NO to Use/Conversion of (1) 11220 Ventura Blvd, Studio City and (2) 12225 Ventura Blvd, Studio City for (High Capacity) Emergency Homeless Shelters/Facilities.These sites -- just west and east of Laurel Cyn -- are not well-suited for the use proposed and/or for the relocation of the City's homeless population. ("Emergency" shelters -- as proposed at these 2 sites -- are not subject to standard rules for shelters at LAMC 12.80/12/81 per Motion signed by Garcetti on 9/22/15, and they permit higher capacity/volume, etc., to accommodate the City-wide population.) This Petition asserts that other sites are better suited for this particular purpose.
