European Union: We call on you to stop the approval of the illicit diminishing of Estonia

On the behalf of the 87% of the population of Estonia, who disagree to present 5,2% of the legal territory to Russia, we turn to You asking not to approve the illicit new border treaty between Estonia and Russia, which is ruining international law, the constitution, human rights and the basic principle of the democracy of the EU, territorial integrity and is supportive to the agressor - Russia, serving it´s interests, not the interests of our statehood. The problem of the border and in fact, Estonia has the internationally valid border treaty since 1920, must be solved according to the law, not contradict with it. According to the constitution there must be held the referendum for to make the decision on the diminishing of the legal territory of Estonia. Till then it must be left to the level of the negotiations, till the Estonia puts the terms on the table, not givng in to the territorial pretensions by Russia and not closing the possibilities for to the complex negotiations with Russia for East - Europe.

After the communist turnover on the territory of the former csarist Russia the leader of bolsheviks Lenin proclaimed the self-determination of all nations, but at the same time Russia started to conquer the nations, who had proclaimed independence. The attempt of communist Russia to conquer Estonia failed. Peace talks in Tartu started on 5 December 1919. The armistice was signed on 3 January and on 2 February 1920 the peace treaty was signed in Tartu.

By means of the peace treaty was determined also the border between Estonia and Russia. In 1940 the USSR occupied and annexed Estonia. In 1944 Stalin displaced the border between Estonia and Russia, depriving Estonia 5.2% of its territory. This displacement of the border was in contradiction with both the Tartu peace treaty and the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia. The nowadays leadership of Russia behaves on many cases in the same way, as behaved the leadership of the Nazi Germany. Breach of international treaties by leadership of Nazi Germany was condemned by the Nuremburg tribunal. Breach of international treaties must be condemned regardless who committed it and by means of what ideology somebody tries to justify such deeds.
In Russia the outright restoration of Stalinism is going on. Justification of the whatever infringement of the law, committed by the rulers of Russia will support the restoration of Stalinism in Russia. Restoration of Stalinism in Russia endangers the whole mankind. Feeling, that their era is passing, the former communist nomenklatura creates artificially the tensions between states in order to turn the attention of the population of Russia from their poor economic situation. Artificially created tensions may sooner or later cause the nuclear war by accident and then it will be too late to correct the errors, which had been done in the past.
We demand that the illegal border treaty, which is being pressed on Estonia by Russia, must be condemned explicitly and unambiguously.

On the behalf of the Conference of The Fallen Freedom Fighter`s Day and by the round table there was also sent public appeal to the European Commission. It is also the Easter border of the EU and it must not be illegitimate.
