Knorr have removed the video and apologised
When Chef Marco Pierre White summed up his recipe for 'Chicken, Rice and Peas' describing it as 'Very simple, Very delicious, Very easy' it felt like he'd described the whole of Jamaican culinary culture, it felt like an insult, the recipe video that followed did the whole of Jamaica and the Carribean a disservice and completely misrepresents our proud culinary traditions, this calamity of a recipe couldn't be further from authentic West Indian cuisine making a mockery of hearty Jamaican fare. Sadly this is just another example of a large corporation watering down our culture and neatly packaging it for profit.
Thankfully Knorr and Marco Pierre White have seen sense and removed the offending videos from youtube as well as the recipe from their website.
