Lord Eassie, Lady Paton: Restore faith in British justice
Stuart H.
started this petition to
Lord Eassie, Lady Paton
It
is fundamental to any western justice system that, when challenged,
the court must hear proof of its jurisdiction from the party bringing
the case. No British court has heard anything more than presumption
and hearsay on the question of whether Shetland is part of Scotland. I am making one
last attempt to get the courts to show they deserve our respect and
are prepared to work within the law and their own rules. On September
7th, an Election Court is intending to hear a case against MP
Alistair Carmichael. I have nothing to say as to his guilt or
innocence, but I am concerned that the court DOES NOT HAVE JURISDICTION to hear the case. I have challenged the court's
jurisdiction on the basis that Shetland is not part of Scotland. The
court has confirmed that I am a party, but is now trying to deny it
and prevent my access to the hearing. They apparently do not want
this question aired in open court, but it is not for them to decide
by themselves – they must hear the evidence. I am asking for your
support in demanding that the judges act within the law and do not
pervert the course of justice. Lord Eassie and Lady Paton are the
judges. This petition asks them to do their duty by acting
impartially and hearing proof of their jurisdiction before proceeding
with the case - as is their duty. It should not be too much to ask if
we are to have faith in our justice system. The whole correspondence
on the case is at: www.sovereignshetland.org/Documents/Carmichael.
It is very long, but clearly shows the court's present intent to keep
me out at all cost.
There is a short time to act, so please sign this petition. Let the judges know you care about British justice!
