Michael Gove, Education Secretary.: Allow more flexibility for term-time holidays and remove threats of fines.

Term-time holidays allow families who don't have much money to take advantage of lower holiday prices during term-time. It also gives more flexibility to parents who struggle to find times when they are both able to take leave from work. If the Government were to allow up to five days leave per year WITHOUT the threat of a fine or prosecution, it would reduce pressure and stress on parents, and would allow for better relationships with schools.
