In addition to petitioning the South African DOH and Women Ministers to make it illegal to harass a mom who is breastfeeding in public, we are asking Justice to amend our Equality Act - so that no breastfeeding mom should ever be asked again to leave a space or cover up a baby if she/baby doesn't wish to. The Equality Act Amendment gives people an additional right to challenge BF discrimination even if they are not the one who were bothered, even if it is just a policy that is in place, or a lack of policy that is in place. It's time to stop discriminating against moms who are nursing in a public space!
