This bill is just one in a long line of actions by Harper to cripple democracy. The Harper government: was censured by parliament for withholding information; shut down parliament after knowing it had lost the support of the House of Commons; dismissed one Parliamentary watchdog after another when they reported the truth; is gagging scientists; made savage cuts to research vital to public policy; made cuts to public broadcasting leaving information in the hands of the very rich; destroyed libraries; launched robo calls - a trick they learned from the extreme right in the US; drafted the 'Destroy Democracy Act'. I am sure in my haste that I missed some. I am concerned my grand children will know none of the freedoms of democracy. Unless we act our veterans will have died in vain.
