Indigenous community of Sani Isla, Ecuador.
What will we do when it is all gone? The animals, the birds, the trees, the oxygen, the stability of the climate... Help fund the Amazon rangers that are on the front line saving the rainforest now . We only have a few days before my community has to decide it's fate, fight or continue with a devastating oil deal in our ancestral land.

The Kichwa indigenous of Sani Isla is one of the bravest Amazon communities living within the Yasuni National Park, one of the most biologically diverse regions of the world . Over the past months, we have been peacefully fighting back the oil invasion from PetroAmazonas, the main state oil company in Ecuador. But we need your help to stay strong, independent and defend the Amazon . Even a small amount can help build our school, sustain our eco-lodge, and guarantee our future within the harmony of the rainforest.

The situation is now critical as the oil company recently gained access to the land and is planting dynamite and carrying out seismic testing literally as as we write this urgent appeal for help. Last year, over a million Avaaz members signed a global petition to the Ecuadorian government asking them to stop the oil exploitation in the Amazon and uphold indigenous rights in Sani Isla. This push has prevented the army from taking control of the land. But right now, Sani Isla desperately needs your active support .

What you can do:

PLEASE DONATE to help secure our survival and power our resistance : even $1 each would make a difference. GO TO: www.saniisla.org and click DONATE

The future of the Amazon is on our hands, let's protect it! If enough people donate even a small amount, together we can save Sani Isla. You can donate with love knowing that every penny of your gift will go to vital community needs.

With gratitude for your love and solidarity,
Patricio Jipa, Shaman of Sani Isla
