President Arthur Mutharka, Republic of Malawi
The native Malawi people have lived on this lake shore all their entire lives, for generations.
The lake, to them, is very important for food, water, sports, etc.
In recent months the government of Malawi, headed by Arthur Peter Mutharika, who is also a naturalized American citizen,  The government is forcing people to move out of their village of Masasa situated on the southern shores of lake Malawi. They are doing this to pave way for a notorious Portuguese company, Mota Engil, to build a so called five star hotel with a golf course. They are planning to remove over twenty-five thousand poor people to nowhere. The government and the company does not have any place and facilities for these people to go to.
On behalf of the poor people of Masasa village in Monkey Bay, Malawi, I am asking the world to please help us fight this situation. We want to live in this village. It is our home, and nowhere else.
