President Rivlin.
Hana Gan – a pregnant Canadian Citizen and her two young
sons - also Canadian citizens - are being held in Israel against their will and
are #TrappedinIsrael
Your Prime Minister encourages Jews all over the world to make ‘Aliya’ – to move to Israel and be safe. However family disputes in Israel results in immediate State intervention and regularly means children being taken from their parents without evidence.
Hana Gan bought into the idea of moving to Israel, but changed her mind after 3 weeks. Now, because she wanted to leave Israel, she is banned from leaving; has LOST her two
children, and had a dozen police swoop on her for daring to exercise her human rights to leave – and is being forced to integrate into Israel and do a psychiatric evaluation for wanting to leave your country! Hundreds of thousands of people around the world are learning more about the entrapment of people in Israel, as Hana is at risk of losing her baby due to the duress the State’s bureaucracy is subjecting her to! What example is your country setting? The image you are giving the world? Your Social Services act above the law with up to 12,000 children taken from their parents every year. Your government needs little justification to detain people within Israel indefinitely, with over half a million Israelis, dual nationals and foreign nationals being forced to suffer in never-ending litigation and evaluations. In their effort to fight an endless battle with the State to regain freedom and/or regain custody of their children, they are forced into debt, much of it due to State intervention on false claims, with countless NEVER regaining their right to leave. Hana Gan and her 2 children are trapped in this nightmare too. Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide are learning more about entrapment in Israel. In 2013, “former Attorney General Menachem Mazuz discussed the possibility that organised crime has infected the top of Israel’s government bureaucracy.” (Haaretz). Is this the same bureaucracy holding Hana Gan and her children captive?
We ask you to release Hana’s children back into her custody and allow them to return home to her native country of Canada, to give birth to her baby there. President Rivlin, it’s time for change. Please start by releasing Hana Gan.
