Prime Minister Stephen Harper

The Harper government's proposed cuts in Health Transfer Payments will be crippling to Nova Scotians, especially Nova Scotia's seniors. These cuts will threaten medicare in Nova Scotia and are unacceptable. The Nova Scotia Seniors' Liberal Commission implores that Mr. Harper enter into a dialogue with our Premier, Stephen McNeil and our Health Minister, Leo Glavine, to talk about fairness, the Canada Health Act and the fundamental right to Health Care for all.
