Prime Minister Turnbull

To Indigenous Australians January 26th, the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet, is a day of mourning. Australia Day is a celebration of invasion, of massacres and of profound loss.

January 1st, 1901 was the day the states of Australia came together and decided to create the nation of Australia. Celebrating the Federation would be a holiday we could all be proud of.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, we call on you to respect Australia's Indigenous People and change Australia Day to January 1st.
