The Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries has decided to take away the fishing permits of hundreds of fishermen, and give them to politically connected applicants - some of which do not even have a boat !.
The fishermen have invested everything they can borrow for their boats, and to pay their crew .
They will probably lose their homes as well as their living.
Thousands of people are since Jan 1 not allowed to earn a living in the only trade they know, and have been doing all their lives.
Please reinstate the permits and have a transparent revue if numbers need to be reduced.
