The European Union wants to take a leading role in the worldwide conservation of nature and forests. As a region in the heart of our Union, Flanders really has to start “putting its money where its mouth is”, by demonstrating that not only it is paying lip service to this ambition, but that it is also able to sustainably manage and conserve its own forests.
