The World Bank : Maintain social and environmental protections on World Bank loans.

Bank Managers want to increase loans and are considering lowering social and environmental conditions for loans, passing project monitoring responsibility to client countries and cutting their independent complaints mechanism for affected communities. This will lead to massive unaccountable, environmentally-destructive and socially-damaging projects being foisted upon communities. We need to show Bank Managers that we expect them to uphold social and environmental conditions and allow affected communities a say in their future.
