Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag
Ozgur Amed is a Kurdish journalist who has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for participating in a demonstration. The demonstration was protesting against the massacre of 34 Kurdish people by a Turkish war jet in the village of Roboski in December 2011. At his trial 3 policeman testified that Ozgur was leaving the demonstration not taking part in attacks upon the security services. Ozgur's imprisonment is part of the Turkish government's war on journalists and freedom of expression. We should demand his immediate release from prison.
