Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will meet Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva in a rematch on Saturday, and you can watch UFC 160 live streaming online.Velasquez dominated Silva in their first meeting, but "Bigfoot" rightly earned a shot at the re-established titleholder by upsetting Alistair Overeem with a come-from-behind knockout win. Despite already being a two-time heavyweight champion, Velasquez will try to successfully defend his belt for the first time against Silva. Before Velasquez and Silva even step into the Octagon, the next heavyweight title challenger will already be determined. Former champion Junior dos Santos and the surging Mark Hunt will clash in the co-main event, and the winner is almost guaranteed to earn a fight with the victor of the UFC 160 main event.
Here is how MMA fans can tune in to watch every portion of the UFC 160 fight card.UFC 160 goes down tonight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a handy guide to all the legal online streams, television and mobile viewing options as well as a guide to bars showing the event.LAS VEGAS – MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) was on scene and reporting live from today's UFC 160 fighter weigh-ins, where all 10 main-card fighters made weight and are official for Saturday's card. The festivities took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the same venue that hosts Saturday's pay-per-view card.
UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Antonio Silva headline the UFC's annual Memorial Day weekend show. Challenger Silva was 263 pounds, while champ Velasquez came in at 240.In the co-main event, former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos meets Mark Hunt – and it's possible the winner will advance to the next title shot against the Velasquez-Silva victor. Hunt came in at 264 pounds, while dos Santos was 239.
In a title eliminator in the lightweight division, two-time challenger Gray Maynard meets T.J. Grant. The winner moves on to a title fight against champion Benson Henderson, likely later this year. Maynard came in at 156, while Grant was 155.Rounding out the main card, Glover Teixeira and James Te Huna meet in a light heavyweight showdown, and hard-hitting lightweights Donald Cerrone and K.J. Noons open the card. Te Huna (206) and Teixeira (205) both were on their marks. Cerrone (155) and Noons (156) each were on target, as well.
Two preliminary-card fighters missed weight in their first attempts on the scale. Khabib Nurmagomedov came in at 158.5 pounds for his lightweight fight against Abel Trujillo (155). And Nah-Shon Burrell, making his UFC debut, was 172 pounds for his fight against Stephen Thompson (170). Both Nurmagomedov and Burrell were given two hours to cut the extra pounds.UFC 160’s main event is a weird one. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. The first bout between Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva was so definitive, so dominant, that I’m not sure there’s a single person in the world outside of Silva’s family, friends and camp that wanted to see it a second time.
You can’t say that Silva didn’t earn his title shot, either. He beat Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem, after all, and he won both in destructive fashion. Those wins, combined with the lack of another clear-cut contender, mean that Silva deserves to be in the cage on Saturday night. And still, I can’t say that I’m excited about the fight. Anything can happen in MMA, sure, but given what we saw Velasquez do to Silva the first time around, I can’t imagine that many fans or experts are giving “Bigfoot” a real shot at winning. For the first time in a long time, a UFC heavyweight title fight feels like a foregone conclusion.
But outside of the main event, there’s still plenty to be excited about on the UFC 160 card. When you take a step back and really look at the card, from the prelims all the way to the co-main event, you quickly realize that it’s actually quite jam-packed with interesting fights.
