West Sussex County Council: Build a proper, continuous cycle route from Chichester to Emsworth

West Sussex County Council
Between Chichester and Emsworth the A259 is unsafe for cyclists, mobility scooters and
pedestrians. Many more people would cycle and leave their cars at home
if the cycle route were continuous and physically separated.
Communities are severed by this busy road and air pollution is getting
worse. We want all ages and abilities to be able to cross the road safely to use local
shops and businesses. We want
children to get to school and workers to get to jobs by bike safely.
We call on the Council to immediately set plans, policy and strategy to
make the Chemroute concept happen and guide
resources to start building proper cycling infrastructure on this
important route in 2016.
