אנו, אזרחי ישראל ותומכים מרחבי העולם, דורשים לאסור ייבוא פוחלצים ופרוות של אריות וחתולים גדולים והפסקה מוחלטת של ציד אריות. We, citizens of Israel and supporters from around the world, demand to ban import of stuffed lions and big cats and their fur and a complete cease of lion canned hunting.

בפורים, יום ו', ה-14 למרס 2014 בשעה 09:30 תתקיים צעדת מחאה צבעונית מכיכר רבין בתל אביב כחלק מאירועי מחאה גלובליים שיתקיימו באותו סוף השבוע במעל ל-35 ערים מסביב לעולם. מטרתם של אירועים אלו להעלות מודעות ציבורית להכחדות האריות בעולם. האריות נעלמים לא רק בגלל מחסור בבתי גידול ושטחי פרא וציד לא חוקי אלא רבות תודות לתעשייה מזעזעת וחוקית לחלוטין הנקראת תעשיית הציד בכלובים (Canned Hunting Industry).

רק לפני עשור עמד מספר האריות באפריקה כולה על 50 אלף, היום קרוב המספר ל-14 אלף בלבד. בדרום אפריקה, נמיביה ובארצות נוספות משגשגת תעשיית הציד בכלובים אשר מכניסה עשרות מיליונים לכיסם של אלו שמחסלים את החיה המדהימה הזו מידי שנה.

האריות מגודלים בחוות בכלובים הנקראות 'שמורות טבע פרטיות', נלקחים מאימותיהם ומורגלים אל בני אדם מיום היוולדם, מונקים בבקבוקים על ידי תיירים אשר משלמים את מיטב כספם ללטף את הגורים ומרגילים אותם למגע אנושי. הגורים מגודלים במכלאות עד הגיעם לבגרות.

בהגיעו לבגרות האריה המבוית ומוכנס לכלוב בגודל של בערך שני מגרשי כדורגל לאחר שסומם. תייר עשיר, בד"כ אמריקאי, מובא למקום כדי לירות בו ולהצטלם מעל לגופתו של 'האריה הפראי והמסוכן', שנשלחת לאחר מכן לפחלוץ. לאריה המסומם והמבוית לא היה לאן לברוח. הוא נרצח וגופתו נשלחת לעטר את ביתו התייר 'הגיבור'.מחיר אריה בודד יכול להגיע עד ל-140 אלף דולר.

רבים אשר מבקרים 'בשמורות הטבע' הפרטיות ומלטפים גורי אריות כלל אינם יודעים מה גורלם לאחר מכן ואף בעלי החוות עצמם מסתירים זאת באופן שיטתי מהמבקרים מחשש מוצדק שגילוי הדבר יפגע בהכנסתם.

אריות וחתולים גדולים אחרים הם נכסי טבע אשר אנו אמונים להוריש לבאים אחרינו על פני הכדור וזו אחריותנו למנוע את הכחדתם בימינו מעל האדמה.

לכן, ב-14 למרץ נתכנס יחד בישראל ובכל העולם, כל בני האדם להם חשובה טובת האריות שנותרו על פני כדור הארץ, לשאוג שאגה רמה וכואבת כדי שזו של חתולי המלכות לא תדמום לעולמים.

על ממשלת דרא"פ, נמיביה וכלל ממשלות העולם להוציא את תעשיית הציד אל מחוץ לחוק. נקרא לכנסת ישראל, ממשלת ישראל והמשרד להגנת הסביבה לאסור יבוא של פרוות ופחלצי אריות וחתולים גדולים אחרים ולקרוא לממשלת דרום אפריקה להפסיק ולתמוך בתעשיית הציד בכלובים אשר ממיתה אסון והכחדה על מעט האריות שנותרו.

כמו כן אנו קוראים לכנסת וממשלת ישראל להפעיל לחץ מסיבי על נציגי ממשלת דרא"פ בישראל ולהפציר בהם להוציא אל מחוץ לחוק את תעשיית הצייד בכלובים ולפעול באופן נחרץ כדי לשמר את ערכי הטבע, חיות הבר, הנמרים והאריות למען האנושות והדורות הבאים הרואים בהם אוצר טבע העומד בפני כלייה".

Purim, Friday , March 14 2014 at 09:30 there will be a colorful protest march from Rabin Square in Tel Aviv as part of the global protest will be held at the same weekend in over 35 cities around the world .

The purpose of these events is to raise public awareness to Lion extinctions worldwide .

Lions disappear not only for the lack of space of habitats and illegal hunting industry , but thanks to the shocking and completely legal hunting industry called - Canned Hunting Industry

Only a decade ago , the number of lions in Africa were 50 thousand , now the number is close to 14 thousand ...

South Africa and Namibia are thriving because of the hunting industry in cages which brings tens of millions into the pockets of those who kill the most amazing animals every year

Lions are raised in a cage called "Private nature reserves" , taken from their mothers and are accustomed to humans from birth , Sucking from a bottle by tourists who pay their money to pet the puppies . Puppies are raised in pens until they reach adulthood

When they reach maturity – they inserted in the lion cage about the size of two football fields after been sedated .

A wealthy tourist , usually American, brought to the scene to shoot him and to be photographed over the body of a wild and dangerous lion… , then they sent it to be stuffed .

for the drugged and domesticated lions there was nowhere to run.

they Was murdered and their body was sent to decorate the house of the Suit hero .

the price of individual lion can reach up to 140 thousand dollars

Many who visit "Private nature reserves" and pet the lion cubs do not even know the cruel fate that is waiting for them…

the owner hide it in a systematic way from the tourists visiting the place because of the justified fear that revealing the murder of puppies will hurt their income

Lions and other big cats are natural assets which we trust to leave to those who follow us on the planet and that is our responsibility to prevent the extinction

Therefore, on March 14 we will gather together in Israel and around the world, all the good people that love and care for the remaining lions ,come to roar for these royal cats and their kingdom

The government of South Africa , Namibia and all governments of the world must take the industry hunting illegal.

Called the Israeli Knesset , the Israeli government and the Environment Ministry to ban the import of fur and stuffed lions and big cats and call on the government of South Africa to stop supporting the Canned Hunting Industry that bring disaster and extinction to the few remaining lions

We also call for the Knesset and the Israeli government to run massive pressure on the representatives of the Government of South Africa in Israel and beg them to outlaw the Canned Hunting Industry and act decisively to maintain the values ​​of nature , wildlife , tigers and lions for humanity and future generations to see them as a natural resource which is to close to extinction
