Build a bridge of hope in Paris
Extremist gunmen stormed a magazine office in Paris and slaughtered everyone they saw. Twelve people are dead because of a series of cartoons spoofing the Prophet Mohammed. Cartoons!

The gunmen have fled, the city is on high alert and France lost four of it’s most famous political commentators. This is an attempt to silence speech by spreading fear, it’s what extremists do over and over again.

But France isn’t letting it happen.

They’re taking to the streets and the internet with calls for more free speech, more support for brave journalists and more laughter in the face of fear. We can show them the world stands with them. Join the call for solidarity and Avaaz staff will use our messages to build a huge bridge of hope across Paris's Seine river.
