Cameron: Don't block the vote

To Prime Minister David Cameron:

We, concerned citizens from across the UK, call on you to vote in favour of the UN Human Rights Council resolution to prevent products from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank entering the global market. Settlements are criminal under international law and destroy the lives of innocent families. This decision, in line with the existing Foreign Office guidance, can help Palestinians and Israelis find peace.

Cameron: Don't block the vote
You know you’re winning when they try and stop you. Israel has spent millions trying to shut down global efforts to divest from and sanction companies profiting from human rights abuses. It’s no wonder, in recent weeks big companies Ahava and G4S have announced their withdrawal from illegal settlements.

The campaign to tackle the money propping up the occupation of Palestine may be on the verge of its biggest win yet. Next week the United Nations will vote on banning products produced illegally in West Bank settlements! Prime Minister Cameron has called Israel’s illegal settlements “genuinely shocking”, but insiders say he plans to block the decision.

The government is hoping it can keep this vote under the radar, but together, we can bring it into the spotlight. Join the call for Prime Minister Cameron to vote in favour of the UN ban on settlement products. Once 50,000 people have signed, we’ll deliver the call before the vote in Geneva next week. Sign now!
