7th World Social Forum on Migrations. São Paulo, Brazil 2016
We request the 7th World Social Forum on Migrations to be held from 07 to 10 July in the city of São Paulo -Brazil, a concrete compromise with gender equality, guaranteeing the fair participation of immigrant women in all the stages of the event as well as being conspicuously considered in a main, core axis. We mention the following:
Axis: Migration, Gender and Body: Migrant women, the fight for recognition as right holders. Refugee women, sheltering conditions and sociocultural transitions. Woman and working conditions, cooperativism and solidary economy. Woman and health: difficulties, conquests and national and international challenges. Sexual rights and reproductive rights: Knowledge, practices and access to health care. Migration of minors. The fight against sexual and gender violence, human trafficking: what have countries done so far?  Migration of LGBT persons. (Des)Criminalization of sexual diversity in the world. LGBT population and laboral (im)possibilities. LGBT person and refugee: difficulties and resistances. Health policies for the LGBT population: possibilities, advances and challenges.

We believe that the Forum should be aware of the increasing number of immigrant women and girls in the world, being them the most vulnerable. We also believe that the event should work according to documentation that guarantee human rights to women, such as those signed in Beijing + 20 and Rio + 20, the latter indicated in its 17 objectives of sustainable development - Agenda 2030 that the signatory countries, including Brazil, "Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girl". See: http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/gender-equality/

We are confident that  will respect our demands, the undersigned solicit immediate steps and responses on the exposed matter.
