Stop Online Animal Torture – International Petition for Strong Animal Protection Laws in ChinaAcross the world, people are deeply disturbed by reports of online communities sharing extreme cruelty against cats and kittens.Animals are tortured and killed while the content circulates on the internet.Technology should unite humanity, not spread suffering.China is one of the most advanced technological societies in the world. Its scientific progress and global leadership inspire admiration.With that leadership comes the opportunity to lead in compassion and ethical responsibility.We call on the Government of the People's Republic of China to:• establish strong national laws against animal cruelty
• criminalize the production and distribution of animal torture content online
• investigate and prosecute those responsible
• cooperate with technology platforms to remove such content
• promote education that encourages respect for all forms of lifeProtecting animals strengthens compassion, responsibility, and civilization.We respectfully ask Chinese authorities to take decisive action.Sign this petition to stand for compassion and protection of life.
