(http://www.bfr.bund.de/en/members_of_bfr_committee_for_pesticides_and_their_residues-189322.html)
On mars 20th 2015, IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) have published a report (http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanonc/article/PIIS1470-2045%2815%2970134-8/abstract) where they have classified 3 pesticides in 2A category : "Likely cancerogenic". This is the last level before "Certain concerogenic".
2 of these molecules are insecticides which usage is already restricted in Europe. The 3rd is glyphosate , which is used in 750 agriculture, forresterty, domestic and and urban products. It's also contained in Monsanto's Roundup , the most used herbicide worldwide.
This is a matter of public health. Therefore we ask EFSA and BfR which are currently re-evaluating glyphosate in Europe to strictly FORBID it.
Update : in its draft report (http://www.bfr.bund.de/en/the_bfr_has_finalised_its_draft_report_for_the_re_evaluation_of_glyphosate..... ), BfR concludes that "the available data do not show carcinogenic or mutagenic properties of glyphosate nor that glyphosate is toxic to fertility, reproduction or embryonal/fetal development in laboratory animals."
Let us note that a 1/3rd of BfR evaluation comity members are directly paid by agrochemichals or biotechnology giants corporations... (http://www.bfr.bund.de/en/members_of_bfr_committee_for_pesticides_and_their_residues-189322.html)
